Wire

Wire is a fundamental component in electrical and electronic systems, serving as a conductor of electrical current. It is typically made of a metal, such as copper or aluminum, which offers low electrical resistance.

Types of Wire:

  • Solid Core Wire: Consists of a single, solid conductor.
  • Stranded Wire: Made up of multiple smaller conductors bundled together, providing flexibility.
  • Shielded Wire: Has a metallic braid or foil shield to protect against electromagnetic interference.
  • Coaxial Cable: A type of shielded wire with a central conductor surrounded by an insulator and a shield.
  • Twisted Pair Wire: Consists of two insulated conductors twisted together to reduce interference.
